Stripes Group Office Design by ICRAVE
ICRAVE designed a new office space for The Stripes Group, a private equity firm that moved out of their corporate midtown office, and into a newly constructed and freshly designed building that appeals to their client base of cutting edge consumer product companies such as Art.com and Seamless. The new office occupies three floors which divide various programmatic elements – from private executive offices to communal meeting spaces – with special attention paid to interconnectivity to foster collaboration. Some of the design highlights include statement-making materials. This includes reclaimed wood from century-old New York City water towers; custom dyed, antique Persian rugs that match curated artwork throughout the office, including pieces from Leroy Granisand and Hans Van Der Meer; a unique “plant-like” green fixture in the reception area made by Vitra; and concrete that both offsets the warm wood and serves as a canvas for painted signage on the floors. Stripes Group also heavily invested in the newest and greatest lighting fixtures. This is actually the first project in North America to use the fluorescents seen on the 5th floor, and LED is used wherever else possible.
